Career Development Part 9

In a prior post I mentioned outsourcing some of the assets. Whilst I mostly made do with premade assets, the main characters were the exception to this rule. I needed custom art for something as integral as this. So I outsourced this and used this as an opportunity to work on my visual communication skills. If I didn’t communicate my vision to the artist successfully then I would end up with the wrong assets.

The assets I ended up with were pretty decent overall. I was completely happy with the male character but I feel as if I didn’t communicate my ideas for the female character effectively. This means I will have to improve upon this skill further and perhaps provide my own concept sketches.
